I created this darling baby from my "Simple Treasures Line". I was asked to test the new Special Care Nursery air dry beginners paint set and felt that Joshua, the soft line vinyl from Doll Dreams was the perfect kit to do. Both paints and vinyl were a great success! (Simple Treasures Series dolls are created with less paint detail and painted or rooted hair done in a quicker fashion. They are beautiful and cuddly dolls for the budget minded collector.)

The new paints are all pre-blended into the right colors to create a life-like skin tone as well have all of the mediums and thinners added in. The song I selected, Slow Fade by Casting Crowns, is a song that came to mind as I painted this little one. I was delighted to find it in a lullaby version to which I started the video with, but also had to add the original version as my heart is sometimes saddened by choices that people make that change the course of their lives. It is a song that is a good "check" for me as well and I felt the words worthy to share.
Joshua's vinyl is very soft and flexible. It is wonderful to hold, touch, bend and pose.
